The Swiss branch of the international association of Medical anthropology applied to Health and Development (AMADES) is organizing a conference on the contours, specificities and challenges of social science research in times of Covid-19. The following questions will be addressed, among others :
- What characterizes the Swiss response of the pandemic?
- How have health inequalities been reconfigured since the beginning of the pandemic?
- How have health policies and public health concerns shaped choices of research questions and methodologies, as well as the types of interdisciplinary collaborations?
- What is the impact of the pandemic on research practices, themes and priorities in medical anthropology and related disciplines?
The Swiss conference is part of a multi-sited international francophone conference, whose main event will be held in Marseille (France) from June 15 to 17, 2022.

L’antenne suisse de l’association internationale francophone d’anthropologie médicale appliquée à la santé et au développement (AMADES) organise une conférence sur les contours, spécificités et défis de la recherche en sciences sociales en temps de Covid-19, avec le souhait d’aborder entre autres les questions suivantes :
- Quelles sont les caractéristiques de la riposte à la pandémie en Suisse ?
- Comment les inégalités de santé se sont-elles reconfigurées depuis le début de la pandémie ?
- Comment les politiques de santé et les préoccupations de santé publique ont-elles orienté le choix des questions de recherche et des méthodologies, ainsi que le type de collaborations interdisciplinaires ?
- Quel est l’impact de la pandémie sur les pratiques, les thématiques et les priorités de la recherche menée en anthropologie médicale et dans des disciplines voisines ?
Le colloque suisse fait partie d’un colloque international francophone multisite, dont l’évènement principal se tiendra à Marseille (France) du 15 au 17 juin 2022.

Researchers and students in social sciences, including anthropology, sociology, medical & health sciences, environmental sciences, political sciences and history, as well as anyone interested in the topic.

Chercheur.euse.s et étudiant.e.s en sciences sociales, notamment anthropologie, sociologie, sciences médicales, sciences de l’environnement, sciences politiques et histoire, ainsi que toute personne intéressée par la thématique.
